Indians on social media were overwhelmed to see Switzerland’s Matterhorn mountain illuminated with India’s tricolor flag. Everyone from a common man to celebrities thanked the Swiss government. Indians conveyed their wishes for showing solidarity with India in the COVID-19 fight.

The Indian flag has been projected onto the Matterhorn mountain in the Swiss Alps. It was part of a breathtaking light illumination series. This was an effort to spread hope amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Spreading the Coronavirus Message of Hope
Renowned Swiss light artist Gerry Hofstetter has been lighting up the 14,690 feet mountain. He is displaying country flags and messages of hope to inspire solidarity.
As the whole world is facing the alarming spread of the deadly virus. It was part of the coronavirus message of hope to the world.

The Light Projections on the Matterhorn
Light is hope! In this sense, the Matterhorn is illuminated daily during the Coronavirus pandemic. The projections take place every night. The timings are from 21:30 hrs until midnight and from 02:00 hrs to 04:00 hrs.
With this light projection, Zermatt wants to give people a sign of hope and solidarity in these difficult times. The Zermatt village shows solidarity with all the people who are currently suffering. However, they are grateful to all those who are helping to overcome the crisis.
